What is the PVNH?

The PVNH corporation, or the Promotion and Value of National Health, is the world’s largest professional training scholarship provider for the biopharmaceutical Industry and other biomedical professionals . PVNH seeks to improve health systems by  funding the training programs for the scientists throughout the United States and around the world.

If selected, will I receive the full coverage of the tuition fee?

Your exact scholarship amount will be determined based on your scientific background, educational expenses and your  sources of income. Your scholarship subsidy cannot exceed 50 % of your total tuition expenses. You should also contact your training institution to determine how an outside scholarship will affect your outstanding payment.

How many scholarships do you award?

The PVNH awards approximately 1500 scholarships each year. It is not highly competitive program.

In addition to the minimum requirements, what do you look for in applicants?

Strong applicants are able to demonstrate their commitment to a research career. Applicants are most able to demonstrate this commitment if they have already enrolled to participate in   research projects , been involved in extra-curricular science activities, or has enrolled for advanced courses, relevant to their field.

What is considered a "disadvantaged background"?

Disadvantaged background means that your financial situation could not support training fees in full.
